General Overview
As part of a collaborative ‘hands on deck team’ we have an opportunity for a Property Paralegal / Conveyancer with at least 2 years’ experience in property matters or conveyancing. The role is based in our Sydney Office and is crucial in our acquisition and settlement process ensuring every detail is in check and ongoing property management.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation for Settlements;
- Preparing and reviewing Contract for Sale of land;
- Mortgage and documentation;
- Financing documentation;
- Duties and land tax administration;
- Management of various correspondence;
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external consultants or advisers;
- Conducting and reviewing property searches;
- Assisting in legal functions in property and tenancy management;
- Completing templated legal agreements;
- DocuSign administration and document management;
- Filing, both paper and electronically;
- Updating databases and liaising with government agencies;
- Diary management;
- Drafting and arranging registration of land title documents across multiple jurisdictions; and
- General admin duties.
Knowledge and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience in end-to-end conveyancing;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines whilst being calm under pressure;
- Strong understanding of PEXA environment;
- High standard of professionalism when dealing with stakeholders and external parties;
- Experience in the property sector across multiple jurisdictions (desirable);
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
