My exposure to the aged-care sector through my father and witnessing the living environment, not only for older people but also for younger individuals in these facilities with disability, was eye-opening. This exposure, along with my experience in the development sector, drove me to create a different SDA model that essentially positioned the participant at the centre of the decision-making process.
As the Founder of Enliven Housing, it’s my duty to continue to keep the organisation ahead of an evolving SDA landscape without ever compromising on our philosophy, culture or values. This is exemplified by the fact that we don’t outsource any aspect of the SDA journey, we utilise a Friendly Landlord model approach to tenancy management and we deliver the highest standard SDA apartments, to ultimately create long-term liveability for all our participants.
