What funding does the NDIS provide for HPS accommodation?
- The NDIS funds the physical component of your Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), the ‘bricks and mortar’.
- As a tenant, you’ll contribute a Reasonable Rent Contribution (RRC), which is your share of the cost.
- Your RRC is made up of 25% of your Disability Support Pension (or equivalent), plus 100% of your Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA)
- This contribution goes directly to Enliven to help cover rent and maintenance. You’ll still be responsible for your day-to-day living expenses like groceries, utilities and personal supports.
- At Enliven, we can assist you through the funding requirements and guide you through your eligibility and application steps before you apply.
