Ready to Find the Right Home for You or Your Loved One?

Alzheimer’s disease shouldn’t limit where or how you live. At Enliven Housing, we create homes that support memory, safety and dignity. Whether you need a secure apartment with memory-supportive design or a villa with safe outdoor access, we can help you navigate the NDIS and find a property that supports independence and gives families peace of mind.

FAQ

With the appropriate supports, yes. Our apartments include memory-supportive design, secure entry systems and safety features like auto-shutoff appliances. However, support workers will need to visit regularly based on your NDIS plan, and family/carers should be involved in monitoring safety.

No, Enliven provides the SDA housing. We don’t provide support workers or daily care services. Your support workers come from your chosen support provider, funded through a separate part of your NDIS plan (Supported Independent Living or Core supports). This separation gives you choice and control. You can choose providers with dementia expertise. If you’re unhappy with them, you can change providers without moving house.

There are several ways to find Enliven vacancies in your area:

Contact us directly: Call or email Enliven and tell us your city or suburb, plus the stage of Alzheimer’s and specific safety needs. We’ll share current and upcoming vacancies that match your requirements.

Through your support coordinator: They can search on your behalf and help connect you with suitable memory-friendly properties.

NDIS Housing Hub: Search the free online platform by location and filter for Alzheimer’s-appropriate design categories (Improved Liveability or High Physical Support).

Ask for a property tour: Once we identify potential matches, we’ll arrange tours so you can experience the layout, safety features, and outdoor spaces in person.

We can help make the search process as clear and low-stress as possible.

Our homes are designed with progression in mind. Bathrooms accommodate increasing assistance needs, spaces allow for mobility aids and equipment and safety features adapt to changing risk levels. If physical or behavioural needs change significantly, we can discuss home modifications or whether a different property or design category would be more suitable. The goal is long-term stability with minimal disruption, as familiar environments are important for people with dementia.
